Before joining Gloria Frazier & Co Realty Group in October 2024, Willie had an impressive career spanning public service, emergency management, and fire safety. Most recently, he served as the Emergency Preparedness Director for the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) Emergency Preparedness Team. In this role, Willie prepared for public health responses to disasters and emergencies, including incidents with potential international implications. Among his significant accomplishments, he developed the Animal Defense Spray Policy for ADPH in collaboration with human resources, general counsel, and other departments.

Before his tenure at ADPH, Willie was the Fire Chief for the City of Selma, where he served for over 20 years. His responsibilities included managing fire department operations, developing fire safety policies, leading emergency responses, conducting fire and environmental investigations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. He exemplified honesty, integrity, service before self, and peer-reviewed leadership throughout his career.

Willie’s journey began in the United States Air Force, where he served as a Munition Systems Specialist. He managed resources and worked with advanced weapons systems, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and dedication to mission success.

In addition to his remarkable professional career, Willie is highly educated, holding:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Human Resource Management from Troy University

• A degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University

• An Associate of Arts & Sciences from Wallace Community College Selma, where he earned the Dr. James M. Mitchell President’s Award

Willie’s extensive certifications include being a nationally recognized Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) Instructor, a CPR Instructor, a Class A CDL Driver with a school bus endorsement, a Fire Inspector, an Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B), and a Certified Law Enforcement Officer currently serving part-time with the Montgomery Police Department.

Beyond his professional achievements, Willie is a man of strong faith and a servant leader. He loves Jesus, enjoys working out, playing softball, and helping others achieve success with a mentality grounded in excellence, integrity, and servitude.
